Big picture man

Stuart Cox the Deputy Head at Walsall Wood has the posting of many pictures sorted. I mean, look at his postings! All he does is send an email to his special address, the subject of the mail = the title of the post, the body of the message = the description of the post and the attached jpegs = appended to the bottom off the post.
It's a simple, 5 minute process, most of that is writing the email's text.
Send the email and forget.

Spamming

I hate spamming. But I gotta do what I gotta do. So, I'm sending out 23,000 emails to 23,000 schools. Most bounce because the list I've bought isn't that good and the addresses are wrong. Many are stopped by the spam filters, somewhere in the pipes. Some get there and are promptly deleted, some get there and are never read, lost in some lost email account. I reckon about 1,000 tops will be read or half read.
And I'll get maybe two leads. Two leads out of 23,000 emails. </drums fingers>
If anybody comes here after unsubscribing from the last lot sent in February, sorry. Sorry, but I did unsub you but a hard disk crash here, the day after I updated my list meant I lost all details. It was only 8 of you, out of 23,000. But still, I feel bad that I have to send more junk mail to you.
It gets worse. Next month I'm starting a brochure campaign. Yep! Dead trees delivered by humans.

Cyber bullies

From the BBC's version of the story: "10% of UK teenagers said they had been bullied online
24% knew a victim
44% of those asked knew someone who had been threatened
62% of respondents knew about rumours or malicious gossip being spread online."
The Guardian's: "There's a wide spectrum when it comes to cyberbullying, and schools do need to come up to speed," said Mary Louise Morris of Childnet International. "I think there are psychological implications that can make it more disturbing than real-world bullying."
See bullying.co.uk for more practical advice.
We want to run a tight ship here in these school blogs, and so far we've helped several situations where we've heard cries for help and caught bullying attempts.
