Hoo Farm, again

Don't want to clog the works up with ramblings about my weekend, but here's a nice post of Moi, from Sunday's 4 hour trip to Hoo farm, with my two kids.
Stalin

Guardian: Children to be taught 'traditional values': "Under the proposals, all 11 to 16-year-olds will learn about free speech and democracy in the UK, as well as the contribution made by different communities."
I don't like the smell of this. If they'd teach about free speech world wide... Stinks of social engineering IMHO. Though I understand the pressures.
Mirror in the bathroom

A bit of the old blogging from me, on my personal site. A nice old, wet old trip to Bridgnorth, to see the steam trains. Plus a couple of classic 'face to the dryer' shots which make me smile everytime I think of them.
I'll post some more pix of Hoo Farm later.

Professor McGinty

On Friday we had news from Pelsall Village School: Professor McGinty visits: "We had our annual visit from Professor McGinty on Thursday.prof McGinty.
He , and his time travelling owl Hoot, took us back to World War 2.
We looked at gas masks, food, bullets and guns as well as dressing up."
I know how infectious children's laughs are, and how absorbing live performances are too. I bet they really did have good fun, as they say they did.
