Gorgeous handwriting
Guardian: Plea for primary schools to improve pupils' handwriting: Beautiful flowers and calligraphy "The ability to handwrite legibly is not an optional extra; it is essential for everyone, even in this age of computer technology.""

Brock Script

I'm to buy a calligraphy set for my kids this summer, so they can learn to play with beautiful handwriting. (7 years) Esme's left handed and her handwriting and general tidiness isn't too hot. While Brad's (5 yerars) has neat letter formation. Mine is curvaceous when I'm cool, and spidery when stressed. As a graphic designer I've always admired beautiful calligraphy, particularly ye olde handwriting from 2 or 3 hundred years ago.

Freebooter Script You may want to download a few calligraphic typefaces for your computer. My idea is to get them to write their name in these faces. I install a few and write their names, print them out and they can trace over.

There are a few beautiful layouts of invites and envelopes around.

Wow! Even The Sun has picked up on this.... Children in a write mess: "Thousands are never shown how to hold a pen or produce neat work."
