When there's a song spinning in your mind

I've been singing this all afternoon. My kids beg me not to continue, but I like bursting into song. (They smile really :-)
I saw a version of this on The Simpson's, a few days ago. Thankfully, I find the real words with Google.
Once again, Google helps with the wrong words... It's the episode when Bart's newly discovered comet is about to crash into Springfield. Ned takes the lone walk out of the shelter, to give more room to the rest of the sardine-like residents of Springfield.

| When I was just a child in school, I asked my teacher, "What shall I try? Should I paint pictures? Should I sing songs?" This was her wise reply: Que sera, sera, Whatever will be, will be. The future's not ours to see, Que sera, sera, What will be, will be. When I grew up and fell in love, I asked my lover, "What lies ahead? Will we have rainbows day after day?" Here's what my lover said: | | Que sera, sera, Whatever will be, will be. The future's not ours to see, Que sera, sera, What will be, will be. Now I have children of my own, They ask their mother, "What will I be? Will I be pretty? Will I be rich?" I tell them tenderly: Que sera, sera, Whatever will be, will be. The future's not ours to see, Que sera, sera, What will be, will be |

Ned stands alone on a hilltop, singing to himself.

I asked my mother, "What will I be?

Here's what she said to me:
Pinkiest pink

WoW! What a Pink Day at Croft in Walsall. It's war of the pink days :-))) What with Waterloo's Pink Day, now Croft's Pink Day is well pink :-)) Even a pink drawing. Excellent!
Virus in library

Yesterday in Telford's Main Library. I had a beep beep to my mobile, I know I should have had it switched off. It's a bluetooth message. Do I want it? I say yes, hoping it's some sweet thing trying to make contact, as you do. I scan the bookshelves hoping to spy a sweet smile...
It says it's 8d3t39to.sis.
Makes no sense.
Do I want to install it? I hesitate. And say yes, I'm told by my trusty Nokia N70 that it is, "unable to verify supplier. Continue anyway?"
Nope!
I've done some searching and can find no record of the file name. But I suspect, that it is a virus. It would send an MMS to all of my contacts, apparently repeatedly, which would cost me a fortune. And will try to find other phones nearby to itself with bluetooth switched on... Like me.
Yeuch! I felt dirty. Defiled. And in a public library too!

War at Croft

Lots of updates today :-) Croft does the war with a visit from Walsall Museum. With some nice pix, AND a great drawing of a badge from one of the kids.
The only Warrior I know is from Woolworths :-) See the X-ray Specs podcast in the greyed out text below.

Sea of red

Sky of blue? Isn't that the Yellow Submarine by The Beatles? Oh well. It's a nearly good enough excuse to do another podcast. Craig Y Don does the nursery in red. That is, all the kids dress in Welsher than Wales red.
As we live a life of ease
Every one of us has all we need
Sky of blue and sea of green
In our yellow submarine
Rest is here. Or download the track in my podcasting thing in the greyed out text below.

Mexico in Waterloo

Nice pix of the nursery in Waterloo, with sombreros, no kids though. Suppose we're waiting for the letters to be returned.
Letter home

Just in case, Waterloo have sent a letter home telling of the website, and asking that any parents object to their kids appearing on the website, that they say now, or forever hold their piece.
I guess this is polite. Nice to have it on the website too.
We've got two. One for parents and one for kids.

Pretty in Pink

Anybody remember The Psychedelic Furs? Fantastic name. And their best song IMHO was Pretty in Pink. And it's here as a podcast, see the below button in the greyed out text?
Anyway, up in Tameside, in Waterloo Primary they had their P I N K day. Great photos :-) I bet it was something to see.
BTW: about the podcast... Yes I'm breaking copyright laws, but only the once. I read that music executives aren't interested in the people who do this in ones and twos, the fine and cost of litigation is too small. And it's easy to do with our system, merely upload a gem, paste the resulting URL into the enclosure field in the new post form and Bob's Yer Uncle (Happy Mondays).
And it's called a podcast because it's in my RSS feed. Such that those that subscribe to my feed will find it in their downloads folder. Were I to have a department devoted to such podcasts, one could subscribe to my feed in perhaps iTunes or other aggregator, which would then automatically load the files onto an iPod.
