About us? Our killer is being editable, but more than this, is that we're editable anywhere! You don't need any special software, just your common and garden web browser e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5, 5.5, 6 or the new 7; Firefox—which I love and proselytise or Safari.
Any computer! Which means you can update/edit/delete/add/manage from school, in any classroom, from home, from your neighbours. Take a trip to Spain, find an Internet café. On a sports trip to another school... Any computer means ANY COMPUTER!
This is cool for kids, in that, if this is the way your site is set up, they can log in from home and work on their news items or web pages. Or from the library. Their neighbours, a relative...
But further than this, one can also update from a mobile phone... I've not tried editing pages from a mobile phone yet, but that's do-able too. Sending in an email to your site's front page, a news item, is a doddle. Even better when there's a picture or two or twenty attached. And this can be done from many phone/cam mobile phones these days. It can take me a minute and a half to snap, write some text and send a picture to my website.
Imagine school sports day. A school trip to some wild mountains. A quiet 5 minutes in your comfy chair in the staff room. All these places are now updatable from.
