Su, Jun 10, 2007Talent competition
It was supposed to start at six on Friday night. We arrive at 5 to 6, to
be told that Brad's on first. Brad turned around to be and said, "have
you got my music book?"
I ran back, and rode my bike back up. Since they were on their bikes I couldn't bring the car. Sweating I handed it too him, hoping it was the right one. He didn't say anything, just "thanks." All I needed :-)
On he came, but the music stand wasn't there. A long, long time, it seemed as I filmed... Esme had been asking him, how he could 'do it' in front of so many people, she couldn't. Brad replied, 'easy.' Now, this moment was testing his nerves... Still he managed it, wonderfully.
The next two acts, got on the stage and ran off to their mums, stage fright getting the better of them.

Knee Surgery

Knee Surgery - replace a failing knee joint of seventy-six year-old man: "Your goal in this medical online game is to replace a failing knee joint of seventy-six year-old man! "I leave my two children on the computer... Brad usually goes to the shoot-em ups. Last night they were doing leg surgery! They thought it particularly gory, but fascinating. There's some absolutely fantastic games to play here. Though, as I said, some are gory and shoot-em ups. Still it gets them wanting to read ;-)

Interesting, I find a trackback ping in my email from BECTA. It looks as though they're listening to any blogger who mentions BECTA in a post. They listen via BlogLines and Technocrati, probably with Google Alerts too. They picked up my post, saw that it was 'interesting' and added it to the negative to BECTA department.
I think it's great that BECTA are listening, and listening properly. They're using the right tools, and openly publishing their finds. Many more organisations and companies should do this too.
It's a great read to look through the negative and positive and other departments. Lots there, a useful resource.;newWindow.focus())
