school website yourself. What will you write today's school news to be?Don't do this on your website
Expose any email addresses
Don't put your email address in plain text on your website. Spam harvesters will pick it up and sell it on. Soon, that email address will be useless; full of spam, you'll check it less and less.
It's also a really bad example to set to your children. For two reasons, one spam bots will get it, two a predator may get it. Once a predator has it, they'll be able to contact a child easily, surreptitiously seeming to be a friend or relative.
Use Word doc or pdfs
Not everybody has Word, very few home users in fact--it's very expensive. Pdfs need Adobe Reader, again not everybody has it. Besides this you're putting a barrier to the information you want consumed. Most people will never bother to download your documents.
Use frames
Search engines don't like them. Nor do users. They were a good idea in 1997, but now no serious developer uses them at all.
Forget Google
If you're not top of the results in Google, you may as well not exist. Many people think Google is the internet.
